Key responsibilities

As a VA for corporate events you will be responsible for planning seminars, conferences, tradeshows, appreciation events, meeting and other events on behalf of your company. You will be 100% responsible for planning and execution of these events. In case of seminars and conferences when you are showcasing your company's products and services, you will have to provide good focus on different services which include contracting outsider's services, transportation, planning the entire event and taking care of all expenses.

A corporate event planning does not always mean planning and execution of outside meetings. It also involves planning and execution of different departmental meetings, specific client meetings, internal conferences and seminars and travel arrangements. As a virtual assistant you will be responsible for coordination for carrying out all the tasks related to any events, within organization members as well as outsiders.

Corporate training programs are an important part of corporate planning. These include several functions of field office training, employee training and other functional trainings. As a VA in corporate planning you need to plan every aspect of such programs from remote locations. It is not easy as it seems. You need to carry out all your responsibilities in an organized manner.

Requirements:

It is not easy to be selected as a VA for corporate events. The competition is tough and you need to have perseverance and dedication to succeed. Most companies look for qualified and experienced candidates, since work is to be carried on from a remote destination. You need to have a degree in management or have done a certified course in corporate events planning. A prior experience in corporate laws and affairs is an added advantage. As a VA you need to have excellent communication skills. Any events planner needs excellent internal communication and business communication skills. The job is to build relations - making media relations, getting sponsors and advertising.
